If you’re anything like us (and if you’re reading this then you probably are) being active is important to you, but there is that one thing you just can’t live without…sweets!
I live strictly by the dessert a day moto, but eventually, that’s going to catch up.
So for those of you who love your sweets as much as we do, here’s a little recipe that will satisfy your sweet tooth without ruining your workout! (That we know you already completed… right?) And trust us, these things are as good as they sound.
Cacao Peppermint Balls:
What you’ll need:
2 Cups raw cashews
1.5 Cups shredded, unsweetened coconut
4 TBSP cacao powder
2 TBSP coconut oil (melted)
2 TBSP 100% pure maple syrup
½ TSP peppermint extract
How you’ll do it:
- In your food processor, nutri-bullet, or ninja combine your cashews and shredded coconut. Blend until fully combined into nut butter consistency.
- Combine cacao, coconut oil, maple syrup, and peppermint—blend this until fully combined
- Place mixture into the fridge for 10 minutes and let it harden.
- Roll into 1” balls, roll in the extra cacao powder (or shredded coconut) and store in the fridge!
These guys are good for any post workout snack or just a good dessert to go with your meal, they are protein packed and taste just like a thin mint! (Move over Girl Scouts!)
