Hello 2016, It’s Me

Welcome to the new year. 2016 promises to be a year full of exciting new things, Adele stealing our hearts over and over again, and the time to finally try kickboxing for the first time. We’ll let you know how it goes. It will force us to channel our inner Jessica Jones.

810 Showroom is looking forward to a kickass year and we are here to make sure you feel confident and beautiful to tackle all the challenges of 2016. One of our favorite ways to feel and look fantastic is to give our wardrobes a semi-annual facelift. There is no better time to hit the “refresh” button on your closet than right now. And because all 810 Ladies (just like the Girl Scouts) are always prepared, we are looking ahead to Spring 2016 to keep you posted on what will be trending this year.

So grab your new bkr glass water bottle and read on to learn about our favorite looks for this fabulous new year.

BJ Tunic DressWe are loving the modern lines of 2016 that seem to delicately whisper — simple, classy, and stylish. Think Audrey Hepburn in the twenty-first century.

The Spring 2016 look from Benjamin Jay has us foaming at the mouth for warm weather so that we can crack out this gorgeous tunic dress. It is understated without being boring.

In the same train of thought, this Benjamin Jay maxi dress has us doing a double take. We all saw plenty of maxi dresses last year. Some had us green with envy while others made us tilt our heads in confusion. There is a wrong way to do a maxi.

This is not it. Again, grace is the name of the game. We think Audrey would approve.

And yet, don’t expect 2016 to be static.

When Taylor Swift showed up her squad at the 2015 VMAs, we all fell in love with her joggers. She wore them while posing with all of our girl crushes and when she gracefully made nice with Kanye West right before he dropped his presidential bomb.T.Swift Squad.png

T. Swift can do no wrong in our eyes and we adore this look, but the sequins may be too much for our Saturday night run to Costco.

BJ Joggers.pngBenjamin Jay’s Spring 2016 line combines two of our favorite things – trends and clothes that make sense in our day-to-day lives. Whether you are grabbing coffee on the way to class or rocking a casual Friday at the office, these joggers will be there for you. Emotionally. Physically. Fashionably.

This wouldn’t be a proper #tbt post if we didn’t look back on the horrors of fashions past.

 You’re welcome.

Even Mr. Rodgers would throw himself off a bridge before he was forced to wear this Reading Rainbow on his body.

And while we would just love to keep talking about Mr. Rodgers’ body, we will spare you.

We can bow to the perks of a solid vest – they keep your chestage region extra warm. They pull together a simple outfit nicely. We are fine with a great vest. This is just not it.
This is. It has us grabbing our Christmas money and heading to our local boutique. If your favorite local store doesn’t carry Soia & Kyo, have them call us. Every girl needs this gorgeous piece hanging in her closet. Oh the ways to wear it! This is the definition of clothing that can be dressed up or dressed down. We continue to be obsessed and we know that you will be too.s&k vest

Did you find yourself in 2015 lusting after Rihanna’s cape? We won’t judge. We were Beauty and the Beast fans too. But, not to be disrespectful to Rihanna, we believe there is a better way to do this look in 2016.

Rihanna cape

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

Nope. That’s just you, saving the day with your trendy self. Soia & Kyo, you’ve done it again. We have a feeling that capes are going to be a thing in 2016. Don’t believe us? Look at how gorgeous this thing is!

It’s subtle enough to be office-appropriate but never boring. And, again, the graceful neutrals go in for the win.

Get ready for this year with graceful, modern lines in rich neutrals.

Please let us know what looks you are rocking in 2016 and we can’t wait to see what this fashion year has in store!
